WRRA would like to thank all of the volunteers and rowers who made the Head of the Cuyahoga (HOTC) and the USRowing Masters National Head Race Championships (MNHR) such successes this past weekend. In this case, it really took more than a village!! WRRA members along with members of all of the CRF organizations made the races possible. Countless WRRA rowers participated on both days; jetting back and forth between volunteer duties and time on the water. As a club we should be proud of the time spent helping and the number of rowers/shells who raced. Many WRRA members were proudly wearing medals both days. For completed race results please visit http://bit.ly/SZxRs9 for the HOTC and http://bit.ly/NAjG9K for the MNHR. Links to photos will be posted soon.
A special thanks also to USRowing and Olympic rowers Susan Francia and Margot Shumway for their support and presence. It was wonderful to have them here; really helping to put Cleveland on the map. As usual, thanks to Erik Murdell for assuring a fun time for all; from set up on Friday through all the races and the medal ceremony. Special thanks also to the WRRA committees who organized within the club to make all it all possible: Volunteer, Equipment, SRL/FRL, Programs, Coaching/Coxing, Finance, Merchandise and Communication.
