Summer Rowing League (SRL)
For Novice and Experienced Rowers
The Summer Rowing League (SRL) program is designed for rowers of all abilities who wish to row once a week. During the 90-minute coached practice sessions, rowers will develop rowing technique and boat handling skills.
Rowers work together as a team in an eight-person shell. Generally, teams are a mix of male and female rowers. Depending on availability, rowers can also request to be placed on an all-female or all-male team.
The SRL fee includes all equipment and coaching during the season. Novice teams will be provided with a paid coxswain for the first three rowing practices. Experienced crews are encouraged to secure a dedicated, approved coxswain. Based on coxswain availability, WRRA will work with teams who would like, but did not arrange for, an approved coxswain prior to the beginning of the season. All teams are responsible for compensation of the coxswain during the season.
SRL rowers participate in two regattas per summer session. The first regatta is in June. The second regatta is the last week of the summer session.
Registration will begin Mid-March for all WRRA programs
